Where's the money management? Where's the technical analysis to go with the fundamental trades? Bad entry points, and holding on to losing trades WAY too long is just as bad as adding to them.
Market insight! Don't make me laugh. The system is 6 weeks and has only made 11 trades. A few of which were lucky. The final arbiter is the equity curve, max DD & W:L. Trade at your own peril!
I recommend following this system just for the market insight. The reason the account has lost money is too much risk per trade. If you use your own money management with this system including setting your own stop losses and limiting each trade to 3% or so you might do well with this.
Not a bad system. Profits are a little low for length of trade and amount of margin, but system has little drawdown and 100% wins. Good for those who sweat at night to the thought of drawdown.
In the month that I have been with the system (since it started), the system creator has managed to double his account and lose almost all of it again.
I've been using TWS(IB)-TB-C2 to autotrade this system for a while, generally it's good. However, I'm not happy with the average-down and multi-leg thing, maybe the system vendor wants to keep a high win ratio. The multi-leg thing might become a nightmare for auto-trading; once you missed a signal(internet outage, power outage, system crash, or whatever, trust me, that will happen, at least twice in two weeks for me), everthing got messed up, you have to follow the signals manually for the rest of the deal, which is impossible for we working people. So my suggestion for the system vendor is trading simply, forget about the average-down and multi-leg thing. A high win ratio is not that important, compared to a steady uphill curve with minimum drawdown.
I have been auto-trading this system for around 3 months .This system simply does not work. When it losses money you never miss a chance to loose with it. When it makes money, many times, your limit order never gets filled and you get out of synch. And all this without any money management - the system is always in position, so when the market seriously goes against you, I dread to think what will happen
The system is currently operating under a totally different concept than described. I've contacted the vendor several times to change it but no reaction to that sofar. After running several simulations the system's potential drawdown seems to be much higher (about 2'500 pips at a win%=62) than here declared. With the current win%=50 it will be extremly difficult to recover from current losses. The vendor claims to have much better concepts than that and is really very wondering why still holding on that. The actual concept seems to react very erratic to different market conditions.
System has been ok and started off great. But the results since have been discouraging. Anytime I see a 45 degree equity curve that begins to fall apart in the second month of live trading, I start to think - optimized system. I am going to just monitor this thing for a few months and stop trading live to see if this proves true. What happened to a 7 sharpe ration and 800 pips a month? Again - optimized results don't work going forward.
I think these are great entry points. I use the ATM. I dont care if I get 10 cents slippage because sometimes I get 10 cents the other way. Sometimes I will miss a trade and I end up buying at a lower price before a runup. . I dont trade the equities with extremely low volume because it is not realistic to be able to exit quickly. It seems that if you have some basic trading knowledge that you can use this system to your advantage. I am up 25% on margin since January 1.
his protective stops are two times the amount of profit and with 80 percent accuracy that will not be profitable system comparatively for intraday system taking into account the time neded to enter and watch the trade
although the system appears to be quite robust he has made the cardinal sin like the rabbit in the headlights of a car did nothing and still cannot cut his losses.Until he does this and moves on to the next opportunity one can only assume he is a novice trader.
